KEYNOTE SPEAKER

ROSEBUD BEAR SCHNEIDER

Rosebud is the co-director of Education and Engagement at Keep Growing Detroit, a non-profit urban farm with the mission to cultivate a food sovereign city where the majority of fruits and vegetables consumed by Detroiters are grown by residents within the city’s limits. In addition to this work, Rosebud organizes with the Detroit Indigenous Peoples Alliance where they aim to connect the Detroit Indigenous community with opportunities to connect and practice our cultural and land-based ways, including The Waawiiyatanong Sugarbush Project, Mnoomin harvesting, fishing and hunting camps.

Farm tours are what make a growing season conference so impactful. We’re offering multiple options to choose from on Sunday. Transportation from downtown Bellaire and lunch will be provided. Tours must be booked in advance during registration.
